The Production Assistant (PA) is an entry-level role on a film or video production. They assist the crew with various tasks on set, such as setting up equipment, running errands, and coordinating with talent. PAs may also be responsible for ensuring that the set is clean and organized, and that all equipment is properly stored and maintained. They may also be called upon to help with other tasks as needed, such as helping to move equipment, assisting with background actors, shredding/recycling previous drafts of scripts, and/or getting coffees/lunch for people on set.
